Risk Disclosure
1. Trading involves substantial risk of loss
Trading futures, options, and other derivative instruments carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for every investor. You should carefully consider whether such trading is appropriate for you in light of your experience, objectives, financial resources, and other circumstances. You may sustain a total loss of your initial margin and any additional funds deposited with your broker, and you may be required to deposit substantial additional funds on short notice.
2. Leverage amplifies both gains and losses
Futures and options markets use leverage. A small adverse move in the underlying price can produce a loss that substantially exceeds the margin you posted. You can lose more than you deposit, and in some cases you can lose more than the value of your account.
Because of this leverage, small changes in market conditions can produce large, disproportionate changes in the value of your positions. Markets can move quickly and without warning — during volatile conditions, prices can gap through stop levels, and order execution is not guaranteed at any particular price.
3. Past performance does not guarantee future results
Any track records, historical win rates, Sharpe ratios, or other performance statistics published by Verracis — including those derived from backtested research — are historical and may not be representative of future outcomes. Markets evolve; regimes shift; the conditions under which a setup worked historically may not recur. No statement on this site should be read as a guarantee, prediction, or representation that any account, including yours, will achieve profits or avoid losses similar to those shown.
4. Electronic trading and execution risk
Electronic trading systems are subject to failures in hardware, software, network infrastructure, and third-party data feeds. Verracis does not operate an execution venue or a broker-dealer. The prices and levels displayed on verracis.com are derived from third-party data sources (including but not limited to Databento, Yahoo Finance, Unusual Whales, and TranscriptAPI) and may be delayed, stale, or incorrect. Verify every price with your broker before acting on it.
5. Options-specific risks
Options trading carries additional risks not present in outright futures trading, including time decay (theta), implied-volatility changes (vega), pin risk at expiration, early-assignment risk on American-style contracts, and complete loss of premium paid. Multi-leg option strategies (spreads, strangles, condors) may require early liquidation of individual legs and can result in losses substantially greater than the initial debit paid.
6. Overnight and gap risk
Many of the setups discussed on Verracis involve positions that may be held overnight or across the weekend. Overnight and weekend sessions have reduced liquidity; news events, geopolitical developments, economic data releases, and corporate actions can cause prices to gap significantly from the prior session's close, potentially against your position and beyond any stop-loss order.
7. Not suitable for all investors
This site is intended for experienced, self-directed traders who fully understand the mechanics and risks of futures and options markets. If you do not understand the risks described above, or if losses on a single trade would materially affect your financial well-being, futures and options trading is likely not appropriate for you. Consult an independent, licensed financial advisor before making any investment decision.
8. No warranty, no guarantee
Verracis makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the information published. The site is provided on an "as-is" basis. Your use of Verracis is at your own risk, and Verracis disclaims all liability for any losses or damages arising from your reliance on any content herein, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
