Disclaimers
1. Not investment advice
Verracis publishes general market commentary for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes personalized investment advice, a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, derivative, or other financial instrument, or an offer or solicitation of any trade. Verracis does not take into account your individual financial situation, investment objectives, risk tolerance, or time horizon.
Verracis is not registered as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, as a Commodity Trading Advisor with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as a broker-dealer, or as a futures commission merchant. Verracis operates as a publisher producing non-personalized market commentary. Consult an independent, licensed financial advisor before making any investment decision.
2. General commentary, not personal recommendations
The "Daily Action", "Today's Setups", "Stock Watchlist", session plans, Smart Money Read, end-of-day wrap, and every other section of the site are general narrative commentary. They describe market conditions, levels, and scenarios the author considers noteworthy. They are not tailored to any individual reader and should not be interpreted as a recommendation for you specifically to take any action.
Any reference to a specific price, level, entry, stop, or target is a description of the market — not an instruction to trade. Every trade decision is yours alone. Verracis receives no compensation tied to whether you act on any idea published, and does not know whether you have a position in any instrument mentioned.
3. Past performance disclaimer
Any historical track record, win rate, Sharpe ratio, or return figure shown on Verracis represents the historical outcomes of research, backtesting, or prior published ideas. Past performance is not indicative of, and does not guarantee, future results. Specifically:
- The 17-year historical backtest referenced in marketing and research sections covers periods that may not be representative of the current market regime.
- Walk-forward and out-of-sample validation statistics reflect historical data; no such validation can fully account for future structural shifts, liquidity changes, or regime transitions.
- "Track record" figures published on the site reflect the outcomes of setups logged by Verracis after the fact, with assumptions about entry, stop, and target execution that may not match actual trading conditions.
4. Hypothetical and simulated performance — CFTC Rule 4.41(b)
Much of the research published on Verracis is based on hypothetical or simulated performance results. The following disclosure is required by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission whenever hypothetical performance is shown:
In plain language: the historical results you see on Verracis are what the data would have produced if an idealized trader had executed every signal without slippage, with perfect timing, and without the psychological pressure of real money at risk. Real trading conditions introduce frictions — fills away from the quoted price, partial execution, gap-through stops, commissions, taxes, and the very human tendency to deviate from a plan under pressure — that the backtests do not and cannot fully capture.
5. Forward-looking statements
Statements on Verracis that describe what "will", "may", "should", or "could" happen — including regime predictions, setup triggers, and scenario planning — are forward-looking statements. They reflect the author's best read of current market conditions and may prove incorrect. Do not rely on forward-looking statements as factual predictions. Market conditions, macroeconomic data, and the behavior of other market participants can cause outcomes to diverge materially from any scenario described.
6. Third-party data and sources
Verracis synthesizes data from multiple third-party sources, including but not limited to Databento, Yahoo Finance, Unusual Whales, TranscriptAPI, the CFTC's Commitment of Traders reports, Polymarket prediction markets, and publicly available analyst commentary. Verracis does not independently verify every datapoint and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data. Data may be delayed, stale, or incorrect for reasons beyond Verracis's control.
7. Conflicts of interest
The author of Verracis may, from time to time, hold personal positions in the instruments discussed on the site. Any such positions are taken in a personal capacity and disclosed where material. Verracis does not currently receive compensation from any third-party broker, exchange, data vendor, or financial product issuer. If that changes — for example, through affiliate links on a future references page — the relationship will be disclosed.
8. No offer or solicitation
Nothing on Verracis constitutes an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security, derivative, or other financial instrument, in any jurisdiction where such offer or solicitation would be unlawful. Verracis content is intended only for persons in jurisdictions where access and use of such content is not prohibited by applicable law. If you are accessing this site from a jurisdiction where such access would violate local law, you are responsible for ensuring your use of Verracis complies with the laws applicable to you.
